The Buckwheat Dump located behind the Franklin Mineral Museum is one of my favorite collecting sites. Still today some rare finds are being discovered. Franklin fluorescent specimens are some of the nicest specimens I have seen. I visit the Buckwheat Dump often. You never know what you can find there. Lots of Willemite and Calcite. But every so often you could pull one of those rare specimens from the pit. Below there is four specimens, all have been pulled out of the Buckwheat Dump within the last two years. If you like fluorescent minerals than Franklin, New Jersey is an area you must visit.
